IMO is a new type of funding for cryptocurrency projects. This article will outline what IMO is, how it works and how you get involved.

What IMO is?

The official announcement describes IMO this way:

Each block chain project needs to go through the links as fundraising — development –market. The whole process takes 1–2 years to complete while it is too long for investors. In order to solve this problem, IMO ecological model have emerged. To put it simply, IMO is a high-quality private placement platform which enables projects to obtain investment periodically through continuous limited private placement, and the project will continue to be privately funded with development progresses and stage results. Generally, private placement activities last for 3 months, 6 months, 1 year or even longer. IMO adopts various advanced mathematical models to control the private placement and market of the project at different stages. During the private placement period, the exchange and investors observe the development of the project and decide whether to invest or exit as the project progresses. Periodically batch investments greatly reduce the risks of investors. In the meantime, it also gives encouragement and benign supervision to the project side so that it can develop healthily and eventually give investors returns. Hence IMO ecological platform will strictly select and check to make sure the quality of each project be excellent, and take certain measures to ensure the interests of investors.

While ICO collects all funds a project needs at the beginning, IMO enables a project to collect funds as it make progress, which at the same time gives investors chance to decide to stay/leave by watching its progress. Another down side of ICO is that ICO projects might have to use huge money in order to get their token listed on crypto exchanges. You don’t like that waste. IMO is organised by IMO Exchange so that IMO projects don’t have to worry about the huge waste regarding to listing.

How it works?

IMO Ecology consists of the following two parts
1)IMO wallet: The wallet can participate in IMO private investment and store assets.
2)IMO Exchange (Imoex.top): Trade and circulate digital assets

When you purchased tokens on IMO, 90% of them are locked and 10% are unlocked. Also, partial of token will be unlocked daily basis, 100% unlocking within 365 days (depending on IMO project). You can send the unlocked tokens to IMO Exchange and sell at market price which is normally higher than IMO price. Of course, you can choose to buy 100% unlocked tokens on the exchange if you don’t like locking, but it costs a bit more. This is how it works.

There are two IMO projects on going, one is HCE (Health Care Ecosystem: http://hcep.io/en/index.php) and IMO token (token used in IMO Exchange). So far, both look promising.

Start the wallet. If it fails to start on iOS, you need to trust it from [Setting]-[General]-[Device Management]-[Device Name].
